Old Primeval Bourbon barrel aged This year's special bourbon barrelOld Primeval is the nickname of a giant snapping turtle who has long roamed the waters of Georgian Bay. It felt like a fitting title for this Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial stout, which spent 15 months in bourbon barrels from Willett Distillery, resulting in a boozy beer with notes of molasses, anise, brown sugar, cacao, and slight red liquorice balanced by subtle oak tannins.
