Certain people should avoid glutathione injections altogether

For acute burning during injection: Allow medication to reach room temperature (30 minutes out of refrigerator) Inject slowly, taking 10 to 15 seconds for the full dose Apply ice to the site for 30 to 60 seconds before injection to numb the area Use a new, sharp needle (never reuse needles) For lingering soreness after injection: Cold compress for 10 to 15 minutes Acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain relief Avoid touching, pressing, or rubbing the area Wear loose clothing over the injection site Users who switched from syringes to injection pens often report less injection pain because pens use thinner needles and deliver the medication at a more controlled rate
