A WINTER HIKE WILDCAT CANYON TRAIL Over the yearsThe campanula trail or boardwalk at Starved Rock State Park, is named after the harebell flower, its scientific name, campanula, which guides you through the mostly deciduous forest of red and white oak, maple and hickory with an understory of pawpaw, hornbeam and dogwood. Conifers of white pine are also abundant. The boardwalk guides you through french canyon and ends at the wildcat canyon overlook where an impressive falls can be seen. (687 3513)
