While certainly a good effort I was somewhat under-whelmed given the usual standards this wine offers

giving this wine an improbably vivacious personality

dense wine by Salon standards

fine-grained tannins and bold freshness

Markus Molitor, Trarbacher Schlossberg Pinot Noir 3* Size:6x750ml While certainly a good effortWild and untamed as always yet pure, fresh and slatey on the still reductive, just slightly oaky and leathery nose with its tobacco and sweet red fruit and plum skin aromas, the full bodied, tight and concentrated 2016 Pinot Noir Trarbacher Schlossberg *** is juicy, nervy, salty and piquant on the palate, which is also tight and tensioned and with great astringency. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.
